Yes it's true SOME models have bios mods for them, that is not one of them. You won't get anywhere trying to modify the bios because it's really NOT POSSIBLE with that laptop. If your bios doesn't have the option to set more (system) ram as reserved for graphics, that's it. its like if im gonna compile a kernel on my laptop i should be able to switch to 35w while on ac power?ĪMD A10-9600P is the a8-6410 which was the a6 HAWK I'm gonna be straight with you. had a arm oc itchĪMD FX-8800P looks decent but i bet oem ****ed it with some stupid single channel memory on a apu lmao or running at 1333mhz instead of 2133 they also gimp them on power draw.

cant beat it! i spent more money on knock off china tablets & pc sticks few years ago testing the rockchips, mediatek, allwinner, texas instruments, etc. this apu performance is more along the line i thought the a86410 was gonna offer. but that cpu power really helps.Įven this cpu a8-7600 is weak on the cpu side in the dx12 timespy it can barely keep 3fps, and im almost positive that amd defaults flip que size to 3fps. i still think the gpu is alot better then the HD. lol all my parts worked fine and were not on white list but when i found out about no dual channel i was pissed. i think i only payed 229 like 3 years ago for the lenovo so it was cheaper then my asus n-270. im waiting for zen though since we are getting new feature set. only good thing is they seem to last longer then old laptops with dedicated. it shouldn't say 2.2ghz with 2.4ghz boost it should say 1.4ghz with 2.4ghz boost.Īll this gen apu suffer from the gpu load. granted at 1.4ghz i can do some decent workloads but this isnt the performance area they market on the box. yes we all need good low power p states but **** dont sell me a 2.4ghz processor really just a optimized 1.4ghz. if less then 2.2ghz user experience sucks nuts often. even qualcomm finally figured out a simple if statement. since 2012-16 processors should be hitting at least 2.2ghz for min performance.
I still think this gen a-series was a joke re-brand of a bunch of garbage. mullins seemed to be a tablet cpu i think file naming hints at and the creators linkedin profile. They also never gave the lenovo a8-6410 ddr which hurt its igpu performance a lot. i mostly just use mine for afk vendors in mmos lmao. What you hitting on 3dmark?im not caught up on intels naming scheme since i move on from atom, but i do know that at some point their HD sort of catched up to igpu of amd in recent years.
